The JST VL Series is a 6.2mm pitch Wire-to-Wire connector that has a current rating of 20Amps. Employing a box style contact that facilitates an outstanding electrical interface, this connector is designed to be quick and easy to assemble and offers a robust and durable connector solution for a variety of application environments.
Primarily developed for domestic appliance applications, this connector is panel mountable and features an optional Secondary Retainer or TPA (Terminal Position Assurance) that ensures that the crimped contact has been inserted correctly into the housing.
The VL Connector is available in 2 to 12 circuit variations, with a current rating of 20Amps, 600V AC/DC Voltage and operating temperature range of -25OC to +90OC

Secondary Retainer – Terminal Position Assurance (TPA)
- The Secondary Retainer or TPA feature ensures that the crimped contact has been inserted fully into the housing. It's a feature that aids the production/assembly process where it is not always easy to check that the crimped contact has been inserted correctly into the housing.
Secure locking device
- The housing has a locking feature that prevents accidental disconnection due to restricted wire routing or high environmental vibration.
Highly reliable contact design
- The contact box design concept, offers a high degree of interface performance under conditions of vibration, distortion, low voltage or low current.
Panel lock construction
- Our unique space-saving panel lock is designed to prevent tangling with wires or breaking in cold or dry weather.
