JST MEC Connector is a 2.00mm pitch automotive Wire-to-Board connector. With a profile of just 8mm, for a single row THT variation, this is one of the smallest connectors of its type on the market.
Originally developed for Airbag ECU’s (Electronic Control Unit’s), this connector incorporates a Glass Filled PBT body, thus making it a very versatile and robust connector, which considering its compact size, makes it ideal for restricted and challenging environments.
The MEC Connector is available in 5 to 24 circuit variations, with a current rating of 2Amps, 14V AC/DC Voltage and operating temperature range of -25OC to +125OC.

Low profile
Secondary retainer – Terminal position assurance (TPA)
- The Secondary Retainer or TPA feature ensures that the crimped contact has been inserted fully into the housing. It's a feature that aids the production/assembly process where it is not always easy to check that the crimped contact has been inserted correctly into the housing.
Secure locking device
- The housing has a locking feature that prevents accidental disconnection due to restricted wire routing or high environmental vibration.
PCB mounting technology
- Headers are suitable for Surface Mount (SMT) and Through Hole (THT) PCB mounting.
Highly reliable contact design
- The crimp terminal design offers a high degree of interface performance under conditions of vibration, distortion, low voltage or low current.
