The JST SQB (Squib) Connector is designed to interface with ‘shunt-less’ AK3 squib retainers in accordance with USCAR 999-U-002-1-Z04 Rev. C. The retainer interface does not incorporate a shorting bar which in turn, simplifies the mating process via a spring and push out system.
Building on JST's popular AK2 ( SQXW ) Series and typically developed for Automotive Airbag and Seat-Belt Pretensioner applications, this Squib connector incorporates an anti-scooping (kojiri) fail-safe design, which makes it ideal for blind spot environments where application assembly is restricted.
The SQB Connector is a 2 circuit connector, with a current rating of 3Amps and operating temperature range of -40OC to +125OC.
